The purpose of this paper is to describe a technology development model that has been successfully introduced in a company moving from a strong regional EPC legacy to a global oil & gas product/service provider. The new model enables to bring ideas/concepts from business units and regions into commercial products in a more efficient way, by considering specific, well defined challenges from upstream offshore applications.
