Plasma cutting can productively cut gauge to over 6" thick stainless steel. Proper gas and current selection results in clean high quality cuts. New technologies have improved stainless steel cutting. HDi uses vented nozzle to improve cut squareness on thin material. Mixtures of H35 and N2 plasma gas give high quality and high productivity cutting mid range thickness. Power pierce enables extended piercing of thick material.
