摘要

Human rights education is an essential educational perspective, based on non-formal methodologies and aiming at promoting a culture of human rights, using different experiential learning activities. More than this, the human rights education activities have an essential role on developing the soft skills and social and civic competencies of the participants. The paper aims at analyzing the impact of the human rights activities on the institutionalized young offenders' learning process, coming up with a study on the outcomes of the activities developed by a non-governmental associations partnering with the Juvenile Prison for Minors in Craiova - Dolj County, Romania. Additionally, the study also aims analyzing how these competencies are being perceived to be used for the target's future social reinsertion. The main research method had been semi-structured interviews with the youth workers who had been leading the experiential learning and non-formal education activities and the young offenders who had been participating in the non-governmental associations' projects implemented in the Juvenile Prison for Minors in Craiova - Dolj County, Romania. The outcomes of the study, except for identifying the impact on the young offenders' learning process are also promoting the good practices developed on partnership basis between the Juvenile Prison and the nongovernmental associations.
