In Germany, international and national comparative studies such as PISA or IGLU have shown that some 20% of school children do not reach the minimal competence level as defined by PISA literacy stages by the age of 15. Such a large number of students can no longer be supported by a single teacher in a classroom. The proposed submission demonstrates a web application that allows non-experts to interact with highly complex underlying algorithms in order to obtain personalized spelling diagnosis in minutes and keep track of error profiles over time. Furthermore, usage of the application will result in a large data collection to support research on long-term studies of written language acquisition that do not yet exist in that form. Even though there is no companion paper at this conference, previous published work has lead up to this demonstration. The underlying algorithms were published at SLaTE 2011 [1] and preliminary studies regarding effective data display were published at WOCCI2012 [2].
