This presentation will address the importance and challenges of acquiring and enforcing intellectual property rights in the global market place. It will discuss the shift in intellectual property rights to Asia. In particular, it will focus on the rise of intellectual property in China and the challenges of acquiring and enforcing intellectual property rights in China. China has a crowded intellectual property landscape and a legal system which presents unique problems to Western businesses.
