The paper explores institutional resilience of social economy entities in Romania within the current economic context. Among questions that arise, one could wonder to what extend social enterprises should be supported in a competitive market? Alongside, what elements of social economy entity are to be improved especially but not exclusively in the case of employment of vulnerable groups? The paper is based on qualitative and quantitative research outputs including national samples focus on demand and offer of social economy.The paper contributes to the increase of knowledge regarding efficiency of social economy entities as economic actors able to achieve labor market insertion and stability. The results foster national and international comparative research especially towards the development of social inclusion policies.
