1. CO2 emissions are 10 to 50X greater than CH4 emissions 2. Greatest emissions are in late summer (July-Sept) 3. Seasonal hypoxia in dam forebays causes elevated CO2 emissions in tailwaters 4. Temporal variation greater than spatial variation for GHG emissions 4.1 Sites in same reservoir typically within same order of magnitude 4.2 Seasonal differences within reservoir up to 2 orders of magnitude difference 5. Emissions are comparable to similar-aged boreal and western U.S. reservoirs 6. Maximum emissions in temperate reservoirs are small compared to tropical systems 7. Results are extremely variable; perhaps methods need some refinement.
