摘要

Surgery is the most common treatment for the majority of disease affecting the distal rectum and anocutaneous junction, however, the surgical approach to the caudal rectum is complicated by the regional anatomy and the potential for post-operative complications. For this reason, several different approaches have been described including the ventral approach, dorsal inverted-U approach, "pull-out" or rectal mucosal eversion with submucosal resection, endoscopic electrosurgical resection, and the rectal pull-through (RPT) (transanal or combined abdominal-transanal) approach.
