The article deals with the issues of creating students' PowerPoint presentations in the humanities, in general. Basic goals are defined, along with requirements and presentation evaluation criteria and students' group tasks where the presentations are delivered. Moreover, how students assesses the utilization of the humanities in the virtual study environment is analysed. Results of partial empirical surveys from the academic years 2005/2006 and 2015/2016 are included. Materials necessary for creation and evaluation of PowerPoint presentations within the four-semester subject 'Chapters from Literature and Culture of German Speaking Countries' are indicated in detail.
