The paper describes the use of operational modal analysis (OMA) as a tool that can contribute to the improvement of quality and unambiguity of results obtained in dynamic load trials that bridge structures are subjected to. Three experiments of varying scope and at various stages of use were carried out on the selected double truss railway bridge. Apart from the effective identification of basic modal parameters, these experiments have revealed the phenomenon of interaction between two trusses supported on common abutments. Dynamic response specific to truss bridges was observed. OMA has confirmed its usefulness in the process of dynamic load testing of a complex railway bridge.
