The paper is dedicated to the theoretical study of adhesion of composite reinforcement to concrete under axial tensile load. The paper is aimed to analyze methods used for determining stress-strain state of contact zone of concrete and reinforcement under axial tension load. The results show that the most widespread and accepted methods for calculation of adhesion between reinforcement and concrete are expressed through shear or normal stresses, taking into account deformations of contact zone, where the main adhesional strength is provided due to availability of roughened surface on reinforcement. Thus, the study of adhesion of composite reinforcement to concrete in general, and the composite flexible couplings, which are applied as support connections in the laminated filler structures, in particular, are not considered, while promotion of this material actively increases. Criteria of strength of composite reinforcement adhesion to concrete, which are described analytically, are determined due to the analysis results. Composite reinforcement has a number of considerable differences from traditional steel reinforcement, and the creation of the specified analytical methods for determination of adhesion strength between composite reinforcement and concrete is becoming the most relevant issue.
