The paper presents analysis of initial deflection influence on the stress-strain state of an asymmetrically loaded flexible plate. A flexible hot rolled steel plate is taken as a structural element model. The plate is two-panel, reinforced with a rib, edge supported and placed on hinged bearings and has small symmetric initial deflection. The calculation is based on displacements and considers physical and geometrical nonlinearities. The load causing limited plastic deformation is studied. The energy method is used in calculation and includes displacement model. When calculating the plate design is divided into elements - panels and ribs. The results of the displacement and deformation calculations are analyzed observing various initial deflections of the supported plate under lateral distributed load. The results include defined additional deflection of the middle plane; the intensity of deformation in the representative points of the plate. Diagrams of deflection, deformation intensity and plasticity zones are designed.
