Indonesian territory consists of two third of water that is why it is necessary to increase sea transportation for regional economic equality by ships. Marine Vessels are needed with a large volume of space, high speed and with efficient use of fuel is needed, therefore the development of a multihull type pentamaran vessel is very necessary. The purpose of this paper is to determine the interference of waves generated by each pentamaran hull and see the best configuration that has the smallest resistance. Doing a comparison between variations Froude number and configuration of the hull to determine the wave interference. Variations in the Froude number and configuration of the hull of the outrigger pentamaran model will produce large different coefficient total resistance. The higher the speed the smaller result of the wave interference. Model ships varied based on distance staggered and clearance, distance staggered variations were 0.3L, 0.35L, and 0.4L, for distance clearance variations were 1.2B, 1.35B, and 1.5B. The results of the experiments carried out showed a configuration at distance staggered 0.4L; clearance 1.5B that had the best configuration.
