摘要

The development of international trade in the current era of globalization has led to free trade which can affect the value of exports and the interests of a country, as well as Indonesia. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are one of the economic pillars in our country because they can absorb enough workers, can increase people's income and contribute to GDP by up to 60.34%. One way to improve the performance of SMEs is through the application of standardization to increase the value of products so they can compete with the free market. However, the benefits gained by applying standards are intangible. The purpose of this study is to determine the economic benefits of implementing standardization obtained by SMEs using the ISO Methodology - Economic Benefits Standard (EBS). This research was conducted at Batik Mahkota Laweyan SMEs in Surakarta, Central Java with its main product being batik cloth. Stages in approved ISO approvals: value chain evaluation, value booster analysis, standard evaluation, and valuation and consolidating results. The results obtained from the economic benefits of the application of standards in Batik Mahkota Laweyan SMEs amounting to Rp 83,640,000,00.
