Immunoglobulin (Ig) concentration is one of the most important characteristics on the colostrum quality in dairy cattle, since it is primary source of the adaptive passive immunity for calf (Stelwagen et al., 2008). The Ig can vary between cows and production systems (Godden, 2008; Angulo et al., 2015). Numerous factors have been associated with colostrum quality such as breed, age of the dam, season of the calving, dry period length etc (Tyler et al., 1999) with different magnitudes over the Igs concentration. However, there is a paucity research literature related to the factors affecting Igs concentration in tropical dairy farms based on grazing system (Angulo et al., 2015).
