摘要

The article is devoted to the study of the birth process in the Russian artistic culture of 1700-1720, the phenomenon of a secular public holiday. The reformation of all spheres of social and cultural life of society, which occurred during the reign of Peter 1, was aimed at the formation in Russia of the principles of secular lifestyle and behavior. During the first 30 years of the century, both the court ritual and the city public holiday were successively changed. The main role in this reformation under Peter was played by military triumphs, which became the main type of citywide secular celebration.
