A prolific space architecture is required to facilitate the outward expansion of humankind into deep space. The construction of this architecture must begin with structural components. Space removes structural limitations imposed by gravity, weather, expansion area, and material availability; creating a new environment full of possibilities. In a setting without terrestrial limitations, a modular structural system composed of individual elements could programmatically be assembled into large-scale space stations. The elements should be standardized, open-sourced, and producible at middle-class investment levels to encourage their proliferation. The efficiency and practicality of the system should encourage investors to view the elements as a lucrative and long-term financial instrument. Leasable swarms of these elements can then be used to construct the backbone of space architecture. Element design, system integration, and overall limitations have been conceptually developed to make this structural component a reality. Future populations of these elements would grow first from material gathered in cislunar space, and then reach outward with material developed from the distant asteroids and moons. Space can become an optimal construction environment, once enabled with the proper structural foundation.
