This paper presents a new approach to reconstruct the plant output for linear time-invariant systems in the case where the available output measurement is quantized. Assuming that the true output is continuous and differentiable, we propose a polynomial fitting approach to reconstruct the plant output from the quantized measurement, which is based on an observer and makes use of convex optimization. It also takes account of some constraints in order to obtain more accurate and smooth output. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
