Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) system uses conventional hydraulic power steering component with an electrically driven and electronically controlled power steering pump, which enhance overall energetic efficiency of the steering system and the possibility of a variable steering assistance while keeping the good steering feeling.. This research aims at evaluating EHPS characteristics through a whole wheel model. Based on the model, the feature of steering system was shown through mechanic analysis. Results showed that, EHPS system significantly reduced torque on steering wheel at pivot steering. EHPS system improved the light steering feeling in lower speed and maintain road feel in higher speed, which can provide assist effectively and maintain drive safety.
