A method for judging and recording air-walking foul during a heel-and-toe walking race has been put forward and the PVDF-based sensor array has been developed. The sensors are used for plantar piezoelectric signals acquisition. Recording the signals will not only avoid incorrect or missing judgment, but also provide scientific support to formulate personalized training programs based on an athlete's foul habits. Experiments of promenade, back step running and heel-and-toe walking race have been conducted. Analyzed, both feet off the ground is not occurred in promenade while back step running has distinct hang time. The athlete commits an air-walking foul in heel-and-toe walking race and the air-walking interval is 5625 ms to 5750 ms. Experiments also prove that this method is safe, practical, reliable and accurate.
