摘要

Corruption is a phenomenon that affects the social relations regarding the proper development of the work activity, with impact on performance and expected results, the image of the organization, as well as with possible consequences expressed in financial terms. For the purposes of preventing and combating corruption, the existence of an appropriate legal and institutional framework in view of achieving the objectives and the measures undertaken by Romania and stated by the National Anti-corruption Strategy is necessary. In the context of the promotion of an integrated public policy in the field of strengthening institutional integrity, the new Criminal Code is to come into effect on February 1st 2014, which also brings changes in relation to corruption offences. Without claiming to exhaust the subject, this article aims to present the main changes in the matter of corruption offences in the light of the new criminal legislation.
