The stress-slip relationships between steel bar and steel chip reinforced cementitious composite (SCRCC) and steel chip reinforced polymer cementitious composite (SCRPCC) were investigated by conducting the uniaxial tension tests. Cracking characteristics of SCRCC and SCRPCC were examined. The following conclusions were obtained from the results. (1) Maximum bond stresses before yielding of steel bars of non-reinforced NM and PCM were higher than that of SCRCC and SCRPCC. (2) Average crack widths at failure of NM and PCM tended to decrease by reinforcing with steel chip. (3) No significant difference was observed between specimens subjected to monotonic and cyclic loading methods.
