Recent gas-phase spectroscopy has a great advantage for structural analysis of large biomolecules combined with electrospray ionization, where the high-sensitive and high- resolution measurement can be performed based on the stable ionization source. However in huge biomolecules, the conventional IR-UV double resonance spectroscopy cannot be used because of their extremely large degree of vibrational freedom. Therefore, we have developed a novel gas-phase resonance Raman spectroscopy by using IR-laser ablation of droplet beam . This spectroscopy effectively avoids the spectral boarding by observation of the local site near the excited chromophore.
