Fake medicines are now big problem to the world.Preventing counterfeit of medicinerequires high security anti-counterfeiting technology.Recent advances in nanotechnologyaccelerate a new tidal stream in development including physical chemical identifier withdigitized authentication [1,2].We have developed the longevous gold nanoparticles (AuNP)self-assemblies that exhibit unique localized plasmon resonance (LSP) for near infraredsurface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).By incorporating Raman active molecules intothese AuNPs,SERS based nanotags for on-dose-authentication of medical tablets werecreated [3].
