Lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs) with sulfur-based active cathode materials havebecome promising alternative secondary batteries of the next generation to conventionallithium-ion batteries (LIBs) because of their high energy density (Wh/kg).1 However,theLSBs with electrolyte solutions have low stability in the charge-discharge due to theformation of soluble lithium polysulfides,therefore the LSBs are not widespread inpractical applications.
