The investigation of the structure and mechanical properties of the intermetallic Ni_3Al fabricated by spark plasma sintering of mechanically activated Ni and A1 powders with nominal compositions Ni_(75)Al_25 (at %) are conducted. Compact with milled powders has been formed only single Ni_3Al phase. Relative density of sintered samples is -97%. The grain size of this material is 0.1 to 0.4 μm. Microhardness of the sintered material is 6100 MPa. The results show that spark plasma sintering at 1100°C the powder mixture Ni-Al after mechanical alloying for three minutes leads to the formation of material with value of bending strength equal to 800 MPa.
