Work Engagement among Higher Vocational College Teachers: Level and Internal Variation

For the purposes of understanding the work engagement level and characteristics of higher vocational teachers and, research has been conducted among full-time teachers at 6 higher vocational colleges in Beijing, China. This paper explores the work engagement level of higher vocational college teachers and analyzes the internal variation of work engagement level among the higher vocational college teachers. It concludes that the work engagement level of higher vocational college teachers falls in the middle range and above, and there are differences in variables such as age, education level, and consistency of one’s major with the area of teaching and research in one’s career.
