Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease caused due to various irritants. Steroids are commonly used to treat AD. However, steroids may have serious side effects if excessively used. Therefore, new materials are needed to relieve AD in the long-term without the use of steroids. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of palmarosa oil (PR)/Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) nanofibrous bandages in patients with AD by wear trials to develop new medical textiles that can be used in the long-term treatment of AD.
