With using a supportin curve (Abbot's curve) as the common-used characteristic of a rough surface, the provlem of finding the density of steam-generating centers is solved in the case of surface boiling . All known theoretical and experimental relations are shown to be special cases of this one. Calculations are in good agreement with experimental data.
