An unproved technique is developed for evaluation of additional eigenvalues of the original Graetz problem extended to slip-flow. The solution involves construction of two matrices, which can be used to calculate the eigenvalues directly and more efficiently than has previously been reported. Four additional eigenvalues were calculated with better accuracy than the previous papers presented by Barron et al. [ 1,2]. The effects of additional eigenvalues on heat transfer (Nusselt number), especially in the thermal entrance length, are discussed and the interpolation function of local Nusselt number as a function of the distance from the tube entrance is also given.
