摘要

The samples of young and adult fish of Zacco platypus in Tanghe Reservoir were collected in September-November, 1993. The sections of otolith were examined for size morphology, increment counts and widths of daily rings by light microscope (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The radius (Y, mum) of the otolith was linearly correlated with the fish length (X, SL, mm). The equation of 40 individuals was Y=3.824x+107.9 (r=0.980, p<0.01). The average number of daily rings in otolith of 14 young and 26 adult fish (1~+ year old) is 103.9_+-3.44 and 317.55+- 4.46, respectively. Back calculation of hatching data from daily ring in the otolith of young fish, suggested a hatching season from May 6 to July 16,1993, The annual ring in otolith of l~+ year old fish was formed fro May 9 to July 5, 1993. which agreed well to the spewning period, The winter ring in otolith was formed from late November to first January, which is correspond with the time of ice-cover begin throughout reservoir.
