A retrospective study of prophylactic antifungal therapy was done in 128 patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transoplantation in our hospital between Mar. 1998 and Dec. 1997, Including 42 ALL, 54 AML, 15 CML, 11 Lymphoma; 2 Multiple Myeloma, 2 MDS, 1 breast cancer and 1 neuroblastoma. 82 males and 46 females, aging from 5-47(average 25). 58 patients underwent autologous bone narrow transplantation (ABMT), 43 autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(APBSCT), 25 allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (Allo-BMT), 1 fetal liver stem cell transplantation(FLSCT) and 1 syngeneic bone marrow transplantation. All received high-dose chemotherapy so that the nadir white blood cell counts were all below 0.01 X 10~9/L. Routine fungi detections were done once every one or two weeks in pharyngeal secretion, urine and feces. Blood fungi detection was done when body temperatue >37.5 deg C . Antifungal drugs were used from -7d to the recovery from aleukia. The patients were divided into two groups according to different drugs used, ketoconszole and fluconazole, Allitridum was given to about half patients of the ketoconazole group.
