摘要

In our previous works, three kinds of nanofiltration (NF) membranes, i.e., PAN-g-AA[l], PAN-g-styrene[2] and PAN-g-NVP[3], were prepared from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) ultralfiltation (UF) membranes by Ar low-temperature plasma treatment and subsequent monomer grafting. Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR) spectra suggested that the C≡N bonds were not broke during Ar plasma irradiation. And it was inferred that Ar plasma irradiation causes the scission of C-H bonds for subsequent graft reaction on PAN membrane surface. In the present work, theory analyses were carried out to investigate the grafting mechanism. And more experimental evidence was further given to support that inferring by combining X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) with FTIR-ATR spectrum.
