Virtual reality (VR) is accessible in many different fields. In recent years, researchers use virtual reality as an alternative to solve amblyopia and its symptoms. This paper discusses the limitations of the state-of-the-art VR amblyopia therapies and analyzes the characteristics of the eye-tracking modules in a VR setting. This paper designs an eye-tracking aided system in VR therapy to evaluate and apply dynamic difficulty adjustment for amblyopia pediatric care. The eye-tracking module captures the amblyopic eye gaze to determine the training progress and provide assistance to guide the eye to accomplish the current task. This dynamic difficulty adjustment maximizes the intrinsic motivation to complete prolonged therapy and achieve long-term positive outcomes.
