The semiparametric generalized additive model is applied to the analysis of population mortality in China. By constructing the model, we analyze the impact of economic factors, aging factors, health factors and unemployment factors on population mortality in China. The results show that GDP per capita and unemployment are significant nonlinear to population mortality, health factors are significant linear and the effect of interest rates on population mortality is not significant in the model.
