摘要

This paper discussed about functional integration of manufacturing enterprise and to develop an Enterprise Integration Index (EII) using Analytical Hierarchical Process tool. This index measures the effect of functional integration across all manufacturing enterprise functions. EII is a function of Strategic Planning, Resource Management, Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, and Support Service. This index will help manufacturing enterprises to identify their critical functions and benchmark against world-class enterprises. There should be a threshold value of this index. If EII of a particular enterprise goes below or touches threshold value, it must integrate its critical-areas to survive in the long run.
