33kV fault begins as phase to earth and evolves into phase-phase-to earth fault. Fault duration 170ms. Drives operating voltage range 220-500V. Drives had inherent ride through capability of 500ms. Control system monitors applied voltage and if this is absent (or below the measurement threshold) even for a short time assumes drives are faulty and trips the supplies.
