摘要

This paper presents a discussion about alternative layouts for a two-dimensional optical position-sensitive detector, namely a quad-cell, featuring different sensitivity regions (i.e. quantum efficiencies). Our aim is to find out the best distribution of these regions in order to improve the linearity of its response, taking into account the number of regions, their respective sensitivity and radii. Simulation results of a numerical model provide an indication to the best cell configuration.
