The multidisciplinary analysis of aircraftrnconfigurations is mandatory to assess thernbenefits of novel aeronautical technologiesrndeveloped by DLR. An appropriate procedurernfor this task is being developed within thernproject TIVA, where an integration frameworkrnand a common data exchange format are usedrnto couple numerical analysis tools from multiplerndisciplines. Using this set of tools, individualrnprocess chains can be created and used tornevaluate the impact of new technologies.rnThis paper consists of three main parts. Thernfirst one provides a brief overview of conceptrnand structure of the new data exchange filernformat CPACS. The second part focuses on thernintegration framework, discussing itsrnrequirements and selection process. Further on,rnit describes the extensions that were necessaryrnto adopt the framework to CPACS usage. Thernthird part of this paper presents an example of arnsimple aero-structural tool chain for wing-boxrnsizing and the way towards future applications.
