Hammer is a new object-oriented Monte Carlo particletransport code, developed by a team of graduate and undergraduatestudents at the University of Michigan to support nuclearnonproliferation research in the Consortium for NonproliferationEnabling Capabilities (CNEC). Hammer is written inC++ and facilitated with Git version control. In its currentstate, Hammer’s defining features include the ability to providemulti-group nth order neutron collision rate estimatorson an unstructured tetrahedral mesh. Hammer utilizes modernopen-source interface formats, such as XML input processingand VTK output visualization.
