摘要

Methane solubility in water is significantly lower in thernpresence of hydrate than in water where no hydrate is present.rnExperiments with hydrate present show a decrease in gasrnsolubility with both decreasing temperature and increasingrnpressure when crystalline hydrate is introduced. The waterrnaround hydrate becomes supersaturated in methane andrnsubsequently promotes additional hydrate formation withoutrnexsolution of free gas. Thus, heating of the water and gasrnproduced from hydrate is recommended to insure the absencernof unwanted hydrate formation and optimize flow assurance.
