Abstract: Exhaust from bi-propellant rocket boosters is a potential source of contamination for cooled sensor optics. The effect of monomethyl hydrazine nitrate (MMH-nitrate) on scatter at 3.39 $mu@m is investigated as a function of temperature in the range of 200 - 350 Kelvin and as a function of thickness. The space-simulated deposition of MMH-nitrate took place under high vacuum onto a bare beryllium mirror.!9
