This paper contributes a general model of knowledgernsystems. Knowledge systems are a series ofrnknowledge processes interrelated in ways thatrnproduce knowledge change and consequently arnchange in the performance and capabilities of thernwork unit or organization which is operating thernsystem. The general model of knowledge system wasrndeveloped using literature and our experience asrnapplied researchers. This paper can be used byrnacademics as a foundation for further research andrndevelopment in the area of knowledge management.rnKnowledge management practitioners can use thisrnpaper as a guide to develop custom knowledgernmanagement systems aligned to the knowledge needsrnof work units or organizations.
