摘要

This research takes an integrative approach to explore contemporary leadership approaches in Chinese organizations through the lens of Western leadership theories.We propose that seven key contemporary Western leadership approaches (paternalistic,charismatic,transformational,servant,pragmatic,aesthetic,and authentic leadership) exist in Chinese businesses.This study will contribute to the leadership literature by filling in several theoretical gaps and to the practical world by providing organizations with knowledge about Chinese life and leadership to enhance organizational performance and trade.Rather than cross-cultural surveys and questionnaires,this research adopts sociological and philosophical approaches and uses case studies as a methodology.
