This research is intended to apply the social collaboration approach to maximize value creation in developing creative industry in Bandung,West Java,Indonesia.The term of social collaboration used in this research defines the synergy and closed cooperation among three actors concept;Academician,Business,and Government (ABG).This collaboration model is widely known as the triple helix collaboration [2,3].Triple helix collaboration is expected to build understanding and consensus among each actor,define the role of each in the society,understand the relation of each actor,and create value for the society welfare [5,8].Research developed in two steps analysis and synthesis.(1) For mapping the role and collaboration of each actor,uses Social Network Analysis (SNA) method.(2) To collect data,analysis and synthesis,uses qualitative approach by applying in-depth interview (IDI),Delphi method (DM),and focus group discussion (FGD) [1.4,6,7].Creative industry is chosen because this industry focuses on value creation,creativity,and the recognition of intellectual capacity;which are aligned with the aim of triple helix collaboration to create value for the society.The result of this research shows that triple helix collaboration model is not enough to develop creative industry in Bandung,Indonesia.It is because trust doesn't exist between business and government actor.Another actor,community,must be added to the collaboration model to accommodate the gap between business and government.Community actor is a place where each individual can share and learn freely,so their creative potentials can be developed well to become Quadro Helix Collaboration.
