This study presents the results of investigations of simple methods of high recovery and low costs forrnminimization of heavy metal (Zn, Ni, Cd and Mn) dissolution from filter cake in ZPRs. The column leachingrntest was employed for the simulation of process. Two kinds of tests were performed: compaction and CaOrnaddition for isolation. The compaction ratios were 1, 0.875 and 0.775, respectively. The thicknesses of the limernlayers were 0, 1 and 2 cm, respectively in 30 days test times. Best condition for decreasing of heavy metalrndissolution was achieved with a compaction ratio of 0.775 and CaO addition of 1cm.
