摘要

The equal-channel angular extrusion is considered as a method of shear assisted densification. Unlike well-known aims of equal-channel angular extrusion for compacts, main problem for PM materials is to obtain a dense material with ultra fine structure. Different straining ways combining the hydrostatic and shear components are examined. In framework of extended plasticity theory for compressible bodies which is sensitive to pores nucleation, the specialties of swelling, shear bands and cracks formations are analyzed. Fields of hardness and relative density defined by finite element method are corresponding to those obtained experimentally. The formation of fields, possible ways of densification, providing the prevention of macro-cracking and coarsening are noted.
