摘要

Real-time traffic data not only carries spatial and temporal information, and it is also rely on the road networks. A conceptual multi-level,multi-dimensional reference framework for managing real time traffic data is proposed in this paper, allowing multi-dimensional location referencing and multi-scale representation. To speed up the data accessing, dynamic traffic information is organized based on the hierarchical data storage structure. The connection between real-time traffic information and the road network is achieved through the setup of a reference table between each road segment and its corresponding transportation links code. This dynamic data organization method is proved to be effective for dynamic route planning and multi-scale map display in the experimenting dynamic navigation system.
