The purpose of this study is to propose a way to developrnlogical thinking ability of the students that is feasible inrnclass at ordinary schools. E-kyoshitsu, an online learningrncommunity centered on an electronic bulletin boardrnsystem, promotes the method for students to increase theirrnexperience to write mathematical statements while beingrngiven advice by the mathematicians. This method hasrnalready been found effective for the purpose. In order forrnthis to be introduced to ordinary classes, a strategyrninvolving students' mutual evaluation, rather than that ofrnthe mathematicians and specialists, was experimented.rnWhen the group were made up of seven students, thernresults were ambiguous: the strategy itself provedrneffective, but there were too many dropouts. Then thernauthors experimented with groups of fewer students: therngroups of five students, and those of two students.rnComparing and analyzing the answers in the secondrnexperiment, the authors found that the strategy workedrnmost effectively with two-member groups (pairs).
