摘要

An analysis of the fine structure in the primary cosmic ray energy spectrum is an additional approach to theproblem of cosmic ray origin. Structural features are observed both in the knee region and at sub-TeV energies in thespectra of protons, nuclei and electrons. We discuss several aspects of the fine structure: the possible contribution ofseveral sources to the knee, the mass composition of the dominant single source of the knee, concavity of the nucleispectra and irregularities in the spectra of primary electrons. The results are regarded as evidence for the non-uniformspace-time distribution of cosmic ray sources. The possible role of pulsars is also examined.
